Job description: 
• Perform root cause analysis of defective parts; monitor warranty data to ensure constant reductions related to implementation of countermeasures; work with customers, suppliers, and sister plants to improve process capability
• Effectively reflect previous warranty issues in new model designs and production process controls
Responsibilities: 
Warranty and Mass Production Support duties:
• Window for corporate warranty program
• Investigate current market claims, establish proper countermeasures, and feed-forward results into new model designs
• Lab and test equipment maintenance and management
• Effective and efficient communication with customers, sister plants, and suppliers
• Process assurance audits of sister plants and suppliers
• Window to sister plants and suppliers for test requests and cost-saving opportunities
• Effective and efficient creation and communication of presentations to internal management, customers, suppliers, and sister plants
• Monitor and follow-up sister plant supplier issues; support and/or lead high-impact supplier quality issue investigations
• Perform, execute, and follow-up past problem investigations (ensure countermeasures are implemented and effective)
• Support new and current supplier development activities
• Enforce the company supplier quality manual
• Other duties as assigned

New Model and Supplier Quality duties:
• Review early development drawings, quality control plans, DFMEA, PFMEA, etc.
• Conduct minimum process requirement audits to ensure previous issues will not recur, in order to improve new model quality
• Conduct evaluations of new model parts for comparison to JD Power market data from actual customers to ensure customer expectations are met
• Effective and efficient creation and communication of presentations to top management during development of new models
• Monitor and follow-up sister plant supplier issues and support and/or lead high-impact supplier quality issue investigations
• Perform, execute, and follow-up past problem investigations (ensure countermeasures are implemented and effective)
• Support new and current supplier development activities
• Enforce the company supplier quality manual
• Other duties as assigned
Employment status: Direct Hire
Qualification requirements: 
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent discipline or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred (work or school)
• Root cause analysis experience preferred
