Flight Operations Manual Engineer - AS428MW

Work location

The primary work location will be in Nagoya, Japan. However, engineers maybe requested to travel to Seattle or Moses Lake (Washington State, USA) where aircraft flight testing is performed. You may also be requested to travel to systems supplier sites to manage systems engineering activities in support of technical contracts.

Reports to

Flight Deck Group Leader as a member of the Flight Deck Group

Expected duration of employment

Estimated one year, thereafter up to regional jet type certification (JCAB, FAA, EASA and others)

Qualification requirements

 • Graduate Engineer in aeronautics
 • + 5 years experience in flight operations
 • General knowledge of commercial aircraft architecture is required with flight operations experience
 • Fluent in English, Japanese is a plus

Description

Main task is to develop, update and support validation of the aircraft Flight Crew Operating Manual (FCOM)
 
 This activity includes:
 • Prepare the FCOM system description part (Volume 2) based on the System Description Documents (SDDs) and other sources of technical inputs for Design Office
 • Coordination with design engineers to get a correct transcription of aircraft system design in FCOM vol. 2
 • Preparing peer review to support validation
 • Finalize content after validation to support delivery of FCOM to aircraft flight tests, training organization via Customer Services (CS)
 
 In addition to these core tasks, the applicant may need to support peer reviews as a participant for other flight operations manuals, such as AFM, FCOM vol. 1 and QRH
