Qualification requirements

 • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred
 • Must possess 2+ years of document translation experience
 • Must possess 2+ years of oral interpretation experience
 • Must speak, read, and write business Japanese and English with near native-level fluency (native-level preferred); knowledge of HR and legal terminology is a plus
 • Must demonstrate exceptional ability to use MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel; experience with MS Publisher and MS Visio is a plus
 • Must demonstrate ability to work efficiently with close attention to detail and minimal direct supervision
 • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality in all business and private matters
 • Must be able to think independently and innovatively to solve problems, quickly adapting to changing priorities
 • Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals


 • Translate business documents between English and Japanese: presentations, policies, memoranda, Emails, work instructions, etc.
 • Interpret spoken communication in both English and Japanese at meetings of various sizes, occasionally with the aid of electronic audio transmission devices
 • Interpret confidential conversations among top executives in English and Japanese
 • Assist expatriate executives with various aspects of daily living, such interpretation and explanation of private communications with service providers
